For $59 you get the base Fire 7 tablet with 16GB of storage, a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. That price also means that you have ads on your lock screen. If you want to eliminate those you need to pay $75, everything else remains the same. You can bump up to 32GB of storage for $79 and again it’s $15 more to get that version with no ads. The ads are tailored to you based on your usage of the tablet and aren’t intrusive once you unlock it, so you’ll need to decide whether it bothers you enough to pay the extra $15....
With its latest iteration, however, the Mac mini is stepping into the spotlight. It’s one of the three Mac models and the only Mac desktop being upgraded with Apple’s first, in-house silicon. Apple’s new Arm-based M1 chip promises unprecedented performance gains for the Mac mini, which now starts at $700, which is $100 cheaper than its predecessors. The newest members of the company’s affordable gaming laptop line, the TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705, are armed with AMD Ryzen CPUs and Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics. The laptops will be available in Q2 of 2019 but pricing has not yet been announced. The unlikely combination of a Ryzen 7 CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU should enable solid gaming performance, though not quite up to that of Nvidia’s RTX 20-series GPUs....

Babylon’s Fall hasn’t earned that goodwill, I have no investment outside of the developer being PlatinumGames (Bayonetta). I played through the opening and was bored to tears. The story and tutorial didn’t hook me, and by the time I got to a real mission, I wanted to quit and take a nap. Video games need to cut the fat and stop hand-holding players throughout the narrative and gameplay. All I want is to be thrown into the game, and everything else can be explained while I’m destroying stuff....
